< Back UHE Guaranteed Internships Gain real world industry experience while you study at UHE Australia UHE Guaranteed Internships! UHE now guarantees internships to all eligible* students in its degree courses of Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT), Master of Information Technology (MIT) and Master of Engineering Management (MEM). Internships are part of UHE's commitment to maximising graduate employment outcomes. The first internships commence in July 2026. All interns will have industry-partners and will be completing industry-relevant, real-world work giving them valuable knowledge, skills and attributes. Internships are unpaid. *Student Eligibility Criteria: The following eligibility criteria apply: Eligible students must have passed all prerequisite subjects as specified on the course structure. The timing of the internship must align with the advertised course structure. All students are required to complete forms, training and other pre-internship requirements in the term directly prior to their internship. Internships must follow the allocated subject outlines, including completion of required assessment. Each students’ skills, experience, readiness, and professional suitability will be assessed to determine whether the student is appropriate for an Individual Internship, a Group Internship or an On-Campus Internship. The internship model selection will be at the discretion of UHE to determine the most appropriate placement alignment for each student. Students who do not meet attendance and other reasonable performance expectations may be subject to reassignment to an alternative internship model at the discretion of UHE. Failed subjects (with/out compelling and compassionate circumstances) and record of academic integrity breaches (if applicable) will be taken into consideration when determining the internship model. < Back UHE Graduation 2024 Honouring the Achievements of UHE’s 2024 Graduates Honouring the Achievements of UHE’s 2024 Graduates – Our Inaugural Graduation Ceremony On December 13th, Universal Higher Education (UHE) proudly marked a historical milestone, the first graduation of students from the Bachelor of Information Technology and Bachelor of Multinational Film Production programs, Class of 2024. The celebration began with a heartfelt address from ULG Managing Director Scott Robertson who praised the graduates, recognising their commitment, perseverance and dedication throughout their studies. This was followed by an inspiring keynote speech from Professor Dharmendra Sharma AM, Member of the Order of Australia and Chair of the Universal Learning Group (ULG) Board of Directors which is UHE’s governing body. In his speech, Professor Sharma shared: "Today is a day of profound significance for all of us. This is not just another event in the calendar; it is a moment that marks the first-ever graduation ceremony in the history of Universal Higher Education (UHE). Today, we proudly celebrate the achievements of our very first cohort of graduates - a milestone that will be etched forever in the legacy of this institution. On behalf of the Board of Directors, the academic and administrative teams, I extend my deepest congratulations to all our graduates. Today, we honour your dedication, your resilience, and your spirit." In recognition of exceptional academic excellence, two outstanding graduates were awarded the prestigious title of DUX, acknowledging their extraordinary academic performance throughout their studies. We also heard touching speeches and insights about the students’ journeys from student speaker Mr. Utsab Pokharel, UHE's Executive Manager and Registrar, Ms. Thara Shimoga, and UHE Chief Academic Officer, Professor Shelley Kinash. Each speaker shared meaningful reflections on the graduates' journeys, highlighting the challenges and triumphs that have defined their time at UHE, and celebrated the significant milestones achieved by the Class of 2024. A special acknowledgment is due to UHE's Executive Manager and the Office of Student Support, whose dedication and hard work played a crucial role in organising and executing this remarkable event. Their efforts ensured a seamless and memorable occasion for all involved. At UHE, we are immensely proud to continue supporting our graduates as they embark on the next chapter of their careers and lives. Return to Course Master Of Engineering Management ENG4006.10 Engineering Economics This subject provides students with an overview of the key concepts necessary to apply principles of engineering economics to engineering projects. Students learn about the concepts of cash flow tables and diagrams, the time value of money, single payment and multiple payments, and methods of economic analysis, including payback period, present worth, future worth, annual worth, rate of return, and benefit-cost ratio. Students are also introduced to depreciation, income tax, replacement analysis, break-even analysis, risk analysis, as well as other considerations. Students engage in class problem-solving and discussions and apply their knowledge to worked examples. Assessment tasks provide students with the opportunity to gain contextualised knowledge. Individual students set up a program-based professional portfolio, which is to track and facilitate professional learning and development across all subjects of the MEM program. This is done by self-assessing their competencies at the start of each subject/semester and setting personal learning goals to work on the development of their skills and competencies, and to be prepared for the real world of work after graduation. Students will discuss and analyse case studies based on real-world AI applications and emerging technologies. The ethical issues and security issues surrounding the AI applications and emerging trends will be assessed and appraised. Students will be able to apply tools, technologies, and techniques to analyse case studies and solve research problems. Students will develop knowledge on various AI technologies for Amazon, Microsoft, and Google Cloud. The fusion of AI with IoT and cybersecurity will be covered, also in retail and finance automation. The techniques and mechanisms to detect cyber security threats with AI, the trends of AI in medical field, AI for smart cities and offices, AIinmanu factoring, logistics, and supply chain, AI in marketing and retail including finance and automation, and the application of AI in defence technologies for electronic warfare will be covered.
