Professor Roger Hadgraft, Independent Academic Board Member, is a civil engineer and education leader with expertise in project-based learning, engineering education, and educational technology. Professor Roger Hadgraft INDEPENDENT ACADEMIC BOARD MEMBER Professor Roger Hadgraft is a civil engineer with 30 years’ experience in transforming engineering education through project-based learning (PBL) and educational technology. He was instrumental in introducing a project-based curriculum in civil engineering at Monash University and in several disciplines at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT). Roger was an Australian Learning and Teaching Council Discipline Scholar and co-author of the Threshold Learning Outcomes for Engineering and Information Technology and he has been a member of several national learning and teaching projects.

Recently he was involved in advising a multinational group specializing in the commodities, renewable energy, and steel manufacturing sectors with a presence in London, Eastern Europe, India, Singapore, New Zealand, and Australia. He also has been pivotal in assisting numerous family-owned businesses utilize the small business restructuring regime to restructure legacy debts and move forward. Prior to working in restructuring, Mirzan was a corporate banker at a Big 4 bank assisting clients in the middle market with debt finance solutions. Mirzan holds a bachelor’s degree in business specializing in accounting, a graduate diploma in chartered accounting and an advanced certification in insolvency and restructuring.
