This subject introduces students to the management of enterprise systems. It focuses on using enterprise systems to maximize organisational value and discusses the approaches taken by organisations to integrate various information systems to develop ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems. Starting with an overview of enterprise systems in organisations, this subject discusses the need for ERP systems, components, architecture, ERP implementation, ERP development life cycle, stakeholders, and software vendors for ERP. This subject also addresses transition management, business process engineering, change management, supply chain management, customer relationship management and ethical and security concerns of managing enterprise systems.
