This subject provides advanced knowledge of current trends, threats, and issues in wireless, IoT, and mobile devices, network, and applications. This subject will provide in-depth learning about information security issues and focuses on new risks, threats, and vulnerabilities associated with the transformation to a digital world. This subject also covers widely accepted vendor-neutral IT security knowledge and skills. The subject also examines application, data, and host security, threats and vulnerabilities, access control, identity management, cryptography, and evolving solutions to threats. Students will learn to set up secure online shopping and internet browsing through practical laboratory work. Building a cloud security strategy versus building IoT security will be covered in this subject. The subject also covers quantum security, smart grid networks, and FinTech applications. It also covers mechanisms to reduce risk from sophisticated, and recent threats to secure users and devices both on and off the corporate network.
