IT4007.10 Cloud Computing
This subject discusses the technological and managerial aspects of cloud computing paradigms. It introduces students to various cloud computing delivery models, technologies and services behind main technological providers, and analyses existing platforms for public and private clouds. This subject also elaborates son cloud computing service-level and compliance-level agreements and covers a range of technical concepts related to parallel and distributed computing, cloud security, modelling and managing concurrency, cloud computing applications, virtualisation, cloud data storage, resource management and scheduling. Security requirements, ethical issues, vulnerabilities and other major challenges in cloud infrastructures are also covered in this subject. Students will also build a basic AWS site.
