IT3030 – Individual Software Project

This is a project-based subject which involves implementing a suitable small-scale software project selected by the student under the guidance of a project supervisor. It’s an individual project and each individual student works independently to achieve all the aspects of the system development lifecycle; analysis and design, programming, testing, implementation and deploying of a solution. Students also must efficiently handle project management aspects of the system development. Following deliverables are required to be achieved as per the agreed

project plan that will be signed off in the beginning of the semester: proposal, definition, feasibility study, project plan, system specification, design report, implementation plan, user documentation, and operational software. The student must display a sense of responsibility for the project outcomes and skills for interaction with other supervisor and peers to ensure that the project is delivered on time. Further information will be provided to students at the beginning of the semester including general guidelines for the project, including the required documents, deadlines, and milestones, etc.
